Fees & Payments Policy

Vendors on Ahaeli may be charged for using some of Ahaeli’s services. This Fees & Payments Policy explains your fees and taxes and how to pay them.

Types of Fees

Sellers may be required to pay the following types of fees. Please note that all fees are listed inclusive of any goods and services tax (GST) that may apply. See the Taxes section below for further details.

Transaction Fees

When you make a sale through Ahaeli, you will be charged a transaction fee of 5% + GST on final paid amount by customer.

Payment Processing Fees

Online Sales

Ahaeli charges a payment processing fee of 15% + GST for each transaction. This fee is calculated on the total amount of the sale, including tax and shipping. Payment processing fees are deducted from the sale amount before making final settlement to your account. Here is an example to help you understand this fee.

Let us assume you have listed an item for Rs 1500, and are offering a discount of Rs 500, so that someone can buy it for Rs 1000. Following is an example transaction and the fees you pay for that transaction:

Price ₹ 1500.00
Discount ₹ (500.00)
Selling price ₹ 1000.00
GST on product# (12%) ₹ 120.00
Shipping and Handling ₹ 00.00
Final paid by customer /Sales Proceeds ₹ 1120.00

Transaction fee you pay to Ahaeli (5% of final paid) ₹ (56.00)
GST on Transaction fee (18% of fees) ₹ (10.08)
Payment processing fee (15% of final paid) ₹ (168.00)
GST on payment processing fees (18% of fees) ₹ (30.24)
GST on product# (12%)  ₹ (120.00)

Amount received by Vendor* (Net in Hand) ₹ 735.68
Deductions % 34.31%
Net in Hand % 65.69%

# Ahaeli will collect 12% GST on the products sold through us, and we will use that to pay GST on the value of product sold. Please note that this does not include GST the vendor needs to pay on shipping charged to the customer, which is something they need to handle on their own.

* Above calculations are not 100% accurate. These are approximate figures only and may vary based on exact product weight and packaging dimensions. The shipping cost will be paid by the seller.

Subscription Fees
The fee for an Ahaeli subscription is ₹2,500 INR per month. (Note: Subscription fees will be applicable only once you get access to the backend.)

Auto-renew Subscription fees will be due on the 1st of every month, and if you sign up during the middle of a month, your first month's fees will be prorated.

Fee Avoidance

Any action by a seller to avoid paying a fee is considered fee avoidance and is strictly prohibited by Ahaeli. This includes, for example, encouraging buyers to purchase an item in your Ahaeli shop through another venue. A transaction initiated on Ahaeli may not be completed off of Ahaeli. The price stated in each listing description must be an accurate representation of the sale. Sellers may not alter the item's price after a sale for the purpose of avoiding Ahaeli transaction fees, misrepresent the item’s location, or use another user's account without permission.

Paying your Ahaeli Fees

Seller is liable to pay Ahaeli subscription fee deposited in Ahaeli bank account number by 15th of every month, or the account will be considered past due. If seller makes a sale while having an outstanding balance the net sale amount will be applied to the outstanding balance.

Settlement of Seller Account

Once Ahaeli receives the amount, it is settled to your bank account after fees (transaction fee, payment processing fee and all applicable GST’s) deduction within 5 days of dispatching the order.

Taxes

Sellers are responsible for collecting and paying any taxes associated with shipping the product sold through Ahaeli to the customers.

Depending on your business status and location, Ahaeli may be required to apply GST on seller fees charged each month and remit it to the relevant tax authority. GST is collected on all Ahaeli fees for sellers located in countries where GST should be applied.

Security Deposit

Ahaeli requires sellers to provide a security deposit of INR 5000 to ensure compliance with our policies and to cover any potential liabilities arising from transactions. This security deposit serves as a safeguard against fee avoidance and other violations outlined in this policy.

  • The security deposit will be held by Ahaeli until the seller's account is closed or until it is deemed necessary to apply the deposit to outstanding fees or charges.
  • Ahaeli reserves the right to deduct any outstanding fees, penalties, or damages from the security deposit without prior notice to the seller.
  • The security deposit is refundable upon closure of the seller's account, subject to the deduction of any outstanding fees or charges.
  • If the security deposit is insufficient to cover outstanding fees or charges, the seller is liable for the remaining balance.

By using Ahaeli's services, sellers agree to maintain the required security deposit and authorize Ahaeli to utilize the deposit as outlined in this policy.
